VYPE: How did your season turn out and what were your goals?
Aubrey: My season has gone amazing so far. I have made so many new friends. My sports goals for this reason have been to get my layout and I just recently accomplished that.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Aubrey: Me and my best friend, Vivian’s combined birthday party! It was so fun because we invited both of our cheer teams and everyone got along. It was purple themed and definitely the best way to celebrate my 14th.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Aubrey: Mrs Grissom. She was my 7th grade English teacher and she left a huge impact on me. The way she handled her classroom and students is one I will never forget.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Aubrey: My favorite athletic memory is probably from cheer camp. I tried out for the All American team and made it, which is a huge deal.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Aubrey: The teammate who has changed my life for the better is Vivian Symes. Vivian is probably one of the best gifts cheer has given me. She has taught me to be confident and always challenges me to be my best.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Aubrey: My favorite part about being on a team is the amount of friends I have made and people I can put my trust in. I can’t walk through the hallways of the school without seeing a fellow cheerleader.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do
you take with you?
Aubrey: Italy for sure. The culture is so beautiful and the food is amazing. I would probably take my best friend Vivian and we would try as many restaurants as possible.
VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?
Aubrey: I started cheer in 1st grade for Dewey then moved to the YMCA and have been a Bruin cheerleader since. My mom first put me in cheer because she had always wanted to be a cheerleader herself.
VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.
Aubrey: I want to thank all the coaches I’ve had present and past. Olivia Symes and Kristin Mcgill have all of my heart.
