Bartlesville girls swimmer Lily Talbot has been named to VYPE’s Underclassman to Watch list for this season.
“Lily was the Class 6A state runner-up in the 100 Fly last season as a freshman and she had a strong summer,” said coach Chad Englehart.
We caught up with the sophomore as she prepares for another run at the state swim meet.
VYPE: Lily, what do you love most about your team and teammates at Bartlesville?
Talbot: I love the bond that we all share together and the jokes that we make.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite subject in school? What about a favorite teacher?
Talbot: My favorite subject in school is Pre-Calc and my favorite teacher is Mr. Layman, my chemistry teacher.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life, in or out of the pool?
Talbot: My sister, Megan, has definitely been the biggest influence in my life. She helps me when I need it and is always there to brighten my day. She is one of the strongest people I know, and her determination inspires me every day.
