Bartlesville head coach Justyn Shaw called the 5-foot-9 freshman, Kadance Barnett, the most athletic, quick, and agile guards on the team. Also considered a great defender, we caught up with the freshman phenom to learn about what makes her go.
VYPE: What do I love most about my teammates?
Barnett: What I love most about my teammates is that they are all like a family to me, and they make me feel a part of the team.
VYPE: What is my favorite subject in school and who is my favorite teacher?
Barnett: My favorite subject in school is Math and my favorite teacher is Coach/Mr. Nickles. He is the math teacher.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in my life on or off the court?
Barnett: My nana Janet has been a big influence in my life. I chose Janet because she is constantly supporting me, she’s always telling me I’m pretty and beautiful and a super star. My nana is always telling me I have talent and that I will make it big someday. My nana is always showing love for me, she comforts me and last, but not least, she is always making sure I’m safe no matter where I am.
