Cassie Snead is a sophomore at Bartlesville High School where she plays on the varsity basketball team. The point guard said she loves being a student-athlete at BHS.
“What I love most about being a student-athlete at Bartlesville is that it comes with benefits such as time management skills, teamwork, and opportunities for physical health and personal growth,” said Snead.
But it’s her teammates that she loves the most.
“Some things I love about my teammates is that they will always have my back in my weak moments. This year, I think the team is coming together better than it was last year. There isn’t as much drama and we are all getting along on and off the court,” said Snead.
The goal remains the same; improve with each game and continue to get better as a team.
“The goal for this season is to not just win as many games as we can, but to grow as a team and for each of us to individually improve our game,” said Snead.
In the classroom, Snead said she is focused on her grades and making it to the next level.
“My favorite subject is Spanish, and my favorite teacher is my science teacher, Coach Daniels. After I graduate, I would like to play a high level of basketball in college, and I want to work to be a Realtor,” said Snead.
In her free time, Snead said she enjoys playing tennis and hanging out with family and friends.
