Bartlesville Cheerleading – Bartlesville Area Poll Winner – Presented by Excel Therapy

The Bartlesville High School cheer squad, winners of a Bartlesville area cheer VYPE poll, is a unit to keep an eye on, according to coach Kristin McGill.

“This is a squad to watch. Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork are already making them stand out,” McGill said. “We are so impressed with their skill sets, already excelling at NCA camp this summer, winning the overall camp championship for their band chant.

“We can’t wait to watch all they bring this season as they cheer on our mighty Bruins. We are enjoying the continued opportunity Coach Olivia and I get to coach this varsity squad.”

The Bruins are led by seven seniors – Cadence Dagenais, Chloe Villarruel, Chloe Whitsitt, Dalaney Andrews, Kiley Espe, Somara Sayles and Tya Mayhew.

Dagenais is the squad’s captain and provides leadership skills.

“Cadence is an exceptional cheerleader and a valuable asset to our team as a captain,” McGill said. “Being awarded the Top All-American at NCA camp and the best jumps at UCA camp are a few impressive achievements that reflect her skill, dedication, and hard work.

“Cadence’s leadership qualities are also a significant asset. She is a natural leader having the ability to motivate and inspire her teammates. With her leadership skills, Cadence will contribute to building this team to the next level by setting a great example, providing guidance and support, and encouraging teamwork.”

Villarruel joins Dagenais as a team captain.

“She’s the spirited captain of our cheer squad,” McGill said. “With her infectious positive energy and unwavering support, she uplifts each and every teammate. Chloe takes great pride in looking after the team, ensuring everyone feels valued and supported. As she enters her senior year, we can’t wait to witness the incredible Bruin spirit she’ll bring to every practice, game, and performance. With Chloe at the helm, our squad is bound to soar to new heights, spreading enthusiasm and cheer throughout the entire season.”
