Cadence Dagenais
Bartlesville Cheer
Bartlesville High School student-athlete Cadence Dagenais is a member of the varsity cheer squad and was named team captain this season.
Coach Kristin McGill said Dagenais has, “natural leadership qualities and she has the ability
to motivate and inspire her teammates.”
Dagenais said she has loved being part of the Bartlesville family since she arrived on
campus.
“The moment I came to Bartlesville I felt so welcome and didn’t take long to fit in. the
athletic program is great, and I’ve had so much fun so far,” said Dagenais. “The people on
the team make it so much fun, I feel like everyone on the team has such good energy and
bring each other up. I see so much potential this year. Everyone is putting in so much work
and I can’t wait to see us preform in front of everyone. A couple people to keep an eye on
would be Chloe Whitsitt, Aubrey S., and Vivian S. They are all amazing cheerleaders and do
nothing but lift others up.”
Being a cheerleader is something Dagenais wanted to do since she was very young. After
trying a few other sports, she knew cheer was the sport for her. She also realized she enjoys science class more than any other subject.
“Science has always been one of my favorites, I had chemistry with one of the teachers, Ms. Strain. She was a really great teacher and had an enjoyable class,” said Dagenais. “I’m still thinking about what I want to do but I’m interested in dermatology or something in the medical field.”
