9 Questions with Tanner John – Presented by Patriot Auto

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year and how is the cross country season going?

Tanner: My main goal this year is to get top 10 in state. The season has started out a little rough but I can see improvement in each of my teammates everyday.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

Tanner: The most fun I have had in the past year is probably the week leading up to regionals last year.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Tanner: My favorite teacher was Mrs. Miller, who was my 8th grade science teacher. She was always excited and made her class very fun.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

Tanner: My favorite athletic memory was going to state this past spring for golf.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Tanner: The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me was Spencer Hales because he showed everyone that hard work beats talent.

VYPE: Along with cross country you also play golf; what is your favorite part about golf?

Tanner: My favorite part about Golf is that it can’t be perfected, so there is always something you can do to improve.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Tanner: If I could pick anywhere for a summer vacation I would go to Utah and golf as much as possible. I would have my grandpa come with me.

VYPE: If we have you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend
it on?

Tanner: If I had 500 dollars and 24 hours to spend it, I would spend it on a plane ticket to watch a BYU football game.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Tanner: I would like to thank all the coaches I have had starting though middle school and especially Coach Turowksi for always pushing me to do my best. As Coach Ayres says “You must give up the GOOD to go for the GREAT”.
