VYPE: What are your goals for yourself and your team this season?
Julia: My main goal for myself is to become a stronger doubles player and improve in all aspects. My goal for my team is for us to fight hard and all qualify for state.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Julia: The most fun I’ve had in the past year is learning how to snowboard. The rewarding feeling of learning something new, although challenging, was very enjoyable.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade or coach and why?
Julia: My favorite teacher has been Mr. Layman, who was my tenth grade chemistry teacher. His class was challenging, but rewarding, as it pushed me to accomplish more than I would have otherwise.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Julia: My favorite athletic memory was making it to state my sophomore year.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Julia: Maddie Shelley has left the biggest impression on me, as both a teammate and a friend. Even when facing a challenging injury, she still pushed herself and was a very supportive teammate.
VYPE: Who on your team has the best impression of your coach and who says the funniest things during games?
Julia: Will Bolding has the best impression of our coach and is the funniest during matches. He gets us in the zone and keeps the mood up by constantly making entertaining remarks.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Julia: If I could pick any place for a summer vacation, I would go to Scotland with my sister.
VYPE: If you had $500 and had to spend it in the next 24 hours, how would you spend it?
Julia: If I had $500 to spend in the next 24 hours, I would use it to expand my tennis and running wardrobe.
