OFFENSE
Bartlesville football will feature eight returning starters this season giving head coach Jason Sport some much needed experience on offense. “I am excited to see this group that we have spent two years with, put what the have learned into action on the field. Our players have worked tirelessly on each detail within the program and have been consistently making discipline decisions in what they do,” said coach Sport. Caden Davis (5-11, 170, Sr.) is a dynamic receiver the Bruins will look to for big catches this season. Last year Davis accounted for 659 yards receiving scoring 10 touchdowns. Davis is joined at receiver by Caleb Perry (6-0, 178, Sr.) who added 655 yards receiving and 39 yards rushing with eight touchdowns. Perry also added 362 return yards. Max Munoz (6-0, 190, Sr.) starts at fullback/H- back giving the Bruins a hard runner and excellent blocker. Curtis Fodor (6-4, 275, Sr.), Colton Green (6-1, 260, Sr.) and Ridge Brewington (6-3, 275, Jr.) are the nucleus of the offensive line. Look for Bartlesville to have success at the line of scrimmage.
DEFENSE
“We want to play to the strength of our team,” said coach Sport. “Being multiple allows is to put our kids in the best possible position to have success.” Braeden Winters (6-2, 235, Sr.) and Rocky Shuman (6-3, 220, Sr.) are two productive players at linebacker. Winters accounted for 123 tackles while Shuman made 86 of his own. Paxton Bradford (6-0, 190, Sr.) and Caden Davis (5-11, 170, Sr.) give the secondary two players with experience and good football sense in the backfield. Davis led the team in interceptions with four last year. Bradford grabbed 46 tackles a year ago while Davis made 61. Both players have a nose for the ball. Devon Beck (6- 1, 180, Sr.) is anther senior with experience who will join Bradford and Davis in the secondary. Another player to watch is Hunter McClintock (6-2, 195, Jr.) at linebacker. McClintock could be the x-factor for the defense this season. Last year McClintock recorded 41 tackles as a sophomore.
