After a season that caused nationwide ups and downs, the Bartlesville Bruins are ready to move past that and get back on the right track. After a 15-23 season in 2020, they believe they can come back stronger than ever and prove that by more marks in the win column.
Head Coach Kyle Minton thinks Madi Neal will help lead this team to more success. “She (Madi) can do a little bit of everything and is a very versatile player. We can put her anywhere in the infield if needed as well as in any outfield positions,” Minton said. Neal is a mainstay in the middle of the lineup and has been for the last two seasons. A very versatile player, Neal hit .256 with 11 RBIs and 17 runs as a sophomore. After returning from an ACL injury, she hit .326 with eight doubles and one homerun. She also added 21 RBIs.
Allie Scullawl is an underclassman but has a lot of potential to have an immediate impact on the field. Look for Scullawl to make an immediate impact both offensively and defensively. Brandi Woods has really impressed her coaches with her abilities on the field and she is stellar in the classroom.
Kaitlyn Sanders also has impressed her coaches but for various reasons. Sanders leads by example, doing all the things that make the biggest difference on a team that oftentimes goes unnoticed but is always appreciated. Other players to watch this season include Allee Erne, and Kensly Foreman.
