9 Qs With Bartlesville’s Julia McKissick – Presented By Patriot Auto

VYPE: What are your goals for this season?
Julia: My main goal for this season is to qualify for state. I know it will be tough since there are a lot of really good girls playing one singles but I’m hoping I’ll be able to and I’ll give it my best shot. I’m also excited to learn a lot and improve.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Julia: Tennis has taught me that getting frustrated doesn’t fix anything and that you have to work at things you want to do well at.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Julia: My favorite teacher is Mr. Carr. He’s always been a fun teacher and his class has always been enjoyable

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Julia: My Dad inspires me to work hard and my sister Gabby inspires me to do whatever I want in life.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Julia: Bella Gustafson has made the biggest impression on me. I met her through tennis and she became one of my closest friends who helped and taught me a lot.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Julia: My favorite part about being on a team is the support you get. Even if you’re not close with everyone on the team, they’re rooting for you and vice versa.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Julia: If I could pick any place for a summer vacation I would probably pick Italy or Greece. I would bring a pretty large group. I’d bring my Dad, Aunt, Sisters, and entire friend group.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Julia: I’m passionate about tennis because I really enjoy it and how many skills there are to learn and work on.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.
Julia: I’m thankful for Pat Ritchie, Coach Reese, and all the other coaches that have helped and continue to help me.
